Recently we spoke with Seth Nylund, the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Presidio Federal for a quick interview. Seth joined the company in mid-2022 and brings 20 years of experience leading consultative sales teams. Since joining Presidio Federal he’s been focused on new ways to build value, capability and modernization for our government customers, so we wanted to ask him a few questions about what he is seeing.
Seth, how does Presidio Federal work with Government Agencies and Federal Systems Integrators (FSI)?
Presidio Federal works with government agencies in several ways. We are both a prime contractor that works directly with government agencies and we have several different contract vehicles that allow us to do that. But we also work as a subcontractor to Federal Systems Integrators (FSI). That list is pretty long, but a few of our FSI customers include GDIT, Peraton, L3 Harris, Northrup, Cymstar, GDLS, and Raytheon. The government agencies we have supported through FSI’s include NAVAIR, ARMY, DARPA and DOJ.
What type of work does Presidio Federal do for FSI’s?
We are a federally focused technology modernization company. Our hardware and software solutions and services revolve around seven different capabilities driven by what we know to be the governments biggest priorities. Those include Automation, Augmentation, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Collaboration, Digital Infrastructure, and Data Center. FSI’s have a large share of the government market and when they need to fill gaps, they partner with experienced organizations like Presidio Federal. We have contracted relationships with these FSIs to support their government customers when specialized services are needed. For example, we have worked through FSI’s to set up a data center for a government customer on a very short timeline. We’ve also provided professional services for another FSI for a hybrid computing environment. Projects we do for FSI’s can involve any of our capabilities, but our recent work with FSI’s tend to focus on Cybersecurity, Collaboration and Cloud Networking.
What kinds of things are FSI’s saying about the work Presidio Federal does?
These FSI’s have come to rely on us for the quick response times of our account managers, smart solution architects who offer alternative ways of solving government problems, and to leverage our certified engineers who work onsite with government agencies when needed. We know we are doing it right because these FSI’s keep coming back again and again so our portfolio of FSI’s continues to grow.
Who should an FSI get in touch with if they want to talk to someone in your organization?
Ron Timm is the account manager supporting FSI’s and he can be reached at [email protected] or through the Contact Us form on our website.
