- Reflecting on your career journey, what inspired you to pursue a career in operations management?
I really believe in the positive impact cross-functional collaboration and teamwork have on a company. A business benefits when members across functional areas join in a common goal of success, and what better area to participate and witness in the magic than operations? Our team inspires me to focus on results that enable efficiency in their day to day.
- You’ve been with Presidio and now Presidio Federal for quite some time now. What initially attracted you to the company, and how has your journey evolved since joining?
My career started in the drug development industry. While the life sciences will forever hold a special place in my heart, I was ready for a new adventure and looking to learn a new industry. Engaging with some Presidio employees, it seemed like a healthy company culture made of interesting people and exciting work. I decided to apply for a Program Manager position in which I felt my experience translated well. It turned out to be a fantastic move. I am so proud to be part of this company today.
- Over the years, what key learnings or experiences have you gained from your tenure that have contributed to your growth as a leader in operations?
Realizing that I do not have to have all the answers and I can trust in my own critical thinking have been key lessons for me. These were key to moving into a completely different industry where I knew nothing of the technical realm. I gained confidence by trusting in my ability to think critically, develop relationships with subject-matter experts across the company, ask questions, and rely on my listening skills. I find these four skills enable my professional growth and elevate my results-focused leadership style.
- As you look back on your time with Presidio Federal, what standout moments or achievements are you most proud of, and how have they shaped your approach to leadership?
I have had the pleasure of working on high performing teams led by fantastic leaders throughout my career. I am proud of the reputation I have with this company. I pride myself on being responsive and results driven and believe strong teams with solid leadership are required to recognize and value these qualities in an employee. I am grateful for the company’s trust in me. The opportunity to serve as a part of Presidio Federal’s senior leadership team is without a doubt a standout moment. I take these responsibilities on with gratitude and unwavering dedication.
- If you could swap roles with any department within Presidio Federal for a day, which would it be and why?
Solutions and Services – without hesitation! I admire the technical mind and would enjoy a deeper understanding of the solutions created to solve customers’ complex needs. I want to know how it all works and why.
